Torsanlorenzo Gruppo Florovivaistico consists of eleven companies established from 1978 onwards by President Mr. Mario Margheriti and located in central/southern Italy: overall, 350 to 500 people are employed, between nursery personnel, administration, production, marketing and communication; the Group features about 4,380 different varieties and species, thanks to agronomist research, varied microclimate conditions and chemical characteristics of the various surfaces, adding up to a total 349 hectares. Species on display and for sale include young plants, potted flowers, green plants for gardening and wholesale, full-size Mediterranean plants and trees, topiary works and a wide variety of plants for landscaping, as well as bamboos of any size. Torsanlorenzo Gruppo Florovivaistico is a widely successful supplier on the markets of Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Northern Africa. Alongside its main company mission – growing and selling plants – the Group also participates in by developing scientific knowledge, by carrying out studies on the various species in collaboration with several research institutes. Moreover, the Group plays a significant role in improving green culture awareness, by sharing good and healthy values: since 2003, President Mario Margheriti instituted the Torsanlorenzo International Award for landscape planning and safeguard, as well as the Prestige Award, bestowed to those who best promote green culture worldwide.
